What happens to your body in pregnancy - physiological changes

Physiology is the study of the normal activities that take place in your body (e.g. breathing, digestion). As you can imagine pregnancy results in dramatic changes in your body during pregnancy. Some of these changes are adaptations to the presence of the fetus within the uterus and preparations for the process of childbirth, while other more profound changes directly involve the whole body, to help the mother provide support for the growing fetus.
